AST Bead Filter/ UV Combinations Systems

Aquaculture Systems Technologies, LLC and Emperor Aquatics, Inc have teamed up to develop a complete line of custom UV Sterilizers which provide a minimum of 30,000 micro watts/cm2 of UV intensity at 60% end-of-lamp life at flow rates matching all of our Bubble-Washed Bead Filters.

Additionally, we have developed a vertical mounting kit which allows you to simply attach the UV light directly to the bead filters similar, to that shown on the right. All AST-BBF UV Sterilizers:

Are UL Listed for indoor and outdoor use.
Include Ballasts which were tested and approved by the lamp manufacturers to insure maximum performance.
Use GPH / T5 Style UV Lamps offering 12.5 months of continual operation until reaching the end of their useful lamp life (60% efficient after 9,000 hrs. Of continual use).
Have easy to remove Power Assembly which allows quick servicing of all internal parts.
Include large Internal View Ports allowing for safe inspection of the UV lamp while in operation providing a clear indication of lamp status.
Include Protective "Quartz Sleeve" allows lamp to operate at optimal temperature, increasing efficiency.
Are equipped with Slip Union fittings on Inlet and Outlet for easy removal of the unit for cleaning or service.
Require 120 volt power source for convenient residential installations (AST models 80-2, 120-2, and 150-2 are available in 220 volt).
Optional Vertical Mounting Kit available to attach the unit to a Bubble Bead Filter. This kit includes a custom vacuum formed plastic stand to bear the weight of the sterilizer, a support clamp with spacer and stainless steel hardware, and PVC fittings and unions to plumb the filter outlet to the UV Sterilizer Inlet. (PVC pipe not included)
